Do you ever wonder what the city has in it’s “development hopper”? Well each year the City Administrator does a presentation that informs us of exactly that.
You can view the (very large) presentation here. For your easy viewing pleasure (and because PDFs are the worst) I’ve counted up all the projects and listed them below.
This year things are exceptionally busy! Here’s a quote from the section regarding the work that the building division does.
The Building Division continues to see high levels of activity in business tax and permitting transactions as well as building inspections. In the month of January alone, we received 1238 permit applications and issued 895 permits. Our building permit revenue for February alone was nearly $1.6 million, which represents approximately 22$ of the total budgeted for the year.
The efforts of the Building Division working weekends, evenings and holidays allowed for the successful opening of the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches.
A large number of recent hires is allowing the division to successfully address the many required plan reviews and inspections.
Note that not all these project are approved (some have not even been submitted to the city yet).
