Happy New Year! It’s been a great 2014 and I’m happy to have the opportunity to be a part of it each day.

January
Opens up with a bang! While SandiTree and all the holiday events get wrapped up we have a slew of events and openings. Bee Organics (now The Bee) opens.
Supercar Supershow rocks downtown, South Florida Fair came to town and downtown rallied in the Let’s Move challenge.
Continuum brings art and music into downtown for a week-long event.
Santucci opens on the 600 block and we get the Cycle Party into Downtown West Palm Beach!
February
Downtown launches new “Festive” downtown campaign, and we launch the #ilovewpb hashtag!
Terebinth Coffee opens up on Dixie.
Urbanist, Jeff Speck, starts his Walkability study for Downtown. Palm Beach Art, Jewelry and Antique Show comes downtown, the Palm Beach Outlet Mall opens on Valentine’s Day, Chase Bank opens on Banyan , Pure Barre opens, and a little further south the Villas on Antique Row open.
March
Startup Palm Beach opens.
Subculture Coffee opens on the 500 Block
Heart and Soul Fest returns to the NorthWest neighborhood. Irish Fest comes downtown for St. Patrick’s day, the Top of the Point restaurant closes.
The Palm Beach Boat Show rocks the waterfront.
And the West Palm Beach Bus loop brings downtowners together for an evening of fun on the town.
April
After a LONG wait the Chickpea opens & everyone loves it!
West Palm Beach is HAPPY! On April 12th over 70 residents gather to film a music video for Pharrel’s “Happy”. Watch it here!
Pawnshop opens on the 200 block and we get a new mural on the 500 block.
May
May means that it’s time for Sunfest to take over the waterfront; here is everything you need to know!
The Great Give raises record donations and increased awareness for many important local causes and for 330 nonprofits in Palm Beach and Martin counties.
Downtown Development Authority puts on another great Pairings event.
And work finishes on the 700 block of Clematis Street. Haute Yoga and iPhoneFixIt open.
June
The world cup fever takes over Downtown West Palm Beach!
Jimmychangas opens on Banyan.
Ganache Bakery Cafe opens on Dixie.
And aGuyonClematis wins Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale best Twitter account award.
July
Fourth of July week brings a series of events into downtown West Palm Beach!
The designs are unveiled for the new All Aboard Florida station.
Startup Weekend is held downtown at the Palm Beach Atlantic campus. And CBS12 holds a “Selfie Tweetup”.
August
Annual Downtown Summit honors Melissa Wohlust for her work in downtown West Palm Beach.
Bamboozle scavenger hunt raises money for Little Smiles.
ncognito opens bringing individualized workout plans and massages to Clematis Street.
Camelot Yacht Club opens and Dana Krangel takes over Downtown West Palm Beach.
September
Panaterie opens on the 200 block, bringing a sophisticated cafe to Clematis.
The Inagural Feast of the Sea starts a new event on the Waterfront
O’Shea’s celebrates their 20th anniversary and Palm Sugar releases a new Sushi menu.
October
Clematis Street is recognized as one of America’s Top 10 Streets. And the Green Market opens once again to great crowds.
Avocado Grill opens to great reviews from locals!
Vegan Cafe opens on the 400 Block and C-Street Cafe opens on the 300 Block. And the city officially opens the Bill Moss Hillcrest Paseo park.
Moonfest and the Halloween season gets kicked off with the first Annual West Palm Beach Thriller Crawl.
November
The county-organized Lagoon Fest brings another great event to the waterfront.
The Downtown Development Authority launches the Arts and Entertainment District with a great opening event for a very distinguished audience.
And we have a slightly wet, yet very patriotic, Veterans Day Parade, street painting on Clematis Street, we celebrate the Crab Cake Cookoff and the grand opening of The Alchemist.
December
A new breakfast option comes to downtown with A.M Shift popup store at The Blind Monk.
Sandi Tree, our beloved 600 ton sand Holiday Tree, is back! Bringing sand castles with it.
The second Opera on the Waterfront, organized by Palm Beach Opera, brings huge crowds to the waterfront for a fantastic performance.
Moriah and Big Dog Ranch Rescue win a sand sculpting contest and I win a Conch Blowing contest.
We get a new parklet in front of Roccos Tacos.
And SushiYama opens on Clematis Street!
