Have a Picnic While Listening to Opera at the Waterfront

Get ready for some loud, extravagant music this Saturday as it’s the FREE third annual Opera at the Waterfront, hosted by the Palm Beach Opera.

Taking the opera outdoors, instead of inside an elegant theater, brings with it a different, more casual and laid-back feel to the opera experience. It creates a fun and different atmosphere to enjoy live performances of some recognizable arias and ensembles performed by more than 100 musicians, including international opera star Michael Chioldi, guest artist Bridgette Gan, and Palm Beach Opera’s Benenson Young Artists, Orchestra, and Chorus for an unforgettable afternoon of music, according to the event page.

“The best part is simply being outside,” the Palm Beach Opera’s Director of Communications, Ceci Dadisman, said. “You can have a picnic and enjoy a glass of wine while you listen to opera. It’s great.”

And you can even bring your dogs!

With over 4,000 people in attendance last year, expect this year’s event to bring the same kind of vibe, if not even better!

This year, the Palm Beach Opera is partnering up with United Way and Food Bank of Palm Beach County for a community food drive. To help fight hunger, the parties involved are asking everyone who comes to the concert bring non-perishable food items with them. If each person brings even one food item, it will go such a long way.

Be at the Meyer Amphitheatre on the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway this Saturday and check for more information here.
